This piece more defines who Blu is and what he represents in my paintings. A great majority of the paintings that feature Blu or have him/her as an accent character they are used to show the presence of Love and Hope. In some instances Blu might be delivering good news or pointing you in the direction where what you might be looking for can be found. The inspiration for Blu came from pediatric nurses who I personally admire for the job they have chosen to do.

"Amore" is based on a song by that same title recorded by Dean Martin in 1953. The Moon, the stars, the bottle of wine and the pasta are all mentioned in the song. I have Marcenivo playing the mandolin since its the most noticeable sound in the song outside of Deans smooth voice plus I wanted to give the impression that Marcenivo is actually singing the song out loud for the world to hear."
