KAERU
Kaeru, pronounced (KAH EH ROO), is a lucky little froggie bringing wishes for safe return to travelers! With a vibrant orange silver nitrate patina with speckles, Kaeru is full of happiness & joy!
The word for frog in Japanses is Kaeru, which also means "to return". Frogs are considered to be good luck charms for travelers wishing a safe return from their journey. We selected an orange frog because the color orange combines the "energy" of red + the "Happiness" of yellow. It is associated with joy, sunshine, and the tropics. Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation. |
KAITO
We chose the name Kaito, from Japanese (kai) "sea, ocean" combined with (to), which refers to the constellation Ursa Major, or (to) "soar, fly".
